ABOUT PJ JOHNSON

PJ Johnson is a Principal Architect at Microsoft Corporation focusing on business and technology transformation. His areas of concentration include M&A and exit strategies, new value realization, IT management, rationalization, and business transformation across many domains such as modern workplace, security, cloud architecture, data and AI, IT governance, and blockchain among many others. Mr. Johnson has over 30 years of experience in IT and business functions as well as focused depth in the Retail and Financial Services industries.

Because of his broad and deep experience in business and technology strategy, architecture, and planning, Mr. Johnson is particularly effective with customers seeking to evaluate business strategy and rationalize their IT assets, often because of mergers, acquisitions or divestitures. Deeply proficient in modern IT and its effect on business, Mr. Johnson is most qualified to help senior IT and business leaders develop a technology strategy that best maps to their business needs.

Prior to joining the Microsoft Technology Center team, Mr. Johnson held roles as a Microsoft Strategist for global accounts with a career that goes from Control Data Corporation in OS development, specialized high-tech consulting and custom software development, and Target Corporation where he worked to create the then Dayton Hudson Corporation from its three operating concerns.

Mr. Johnson has spoken at the Microsoft Envision conference, LATAM CXO conference, Minnesota High Tech Association, and National Retail Federation with topics ranging from business and technology disruption as well as focused discussions on technology and IT strategy.
